In order to counteract the rising tide of medical misinformation and its deleterious effects on the global health and trust in science, we have just opened up a section in the Journal of Evidence-based Healthcare (ISSN 2675-021X) for submissions by undergraduate and graduate students, researchers and professors to summarize scientific consensuses on the health sciences to society, policymakers and media outlets with formal but comprehensive language. No jargon will be allowed.
Called Bridging the gap, submissions to this section must answer the following questions: why the topic is relevant to science, why and how it is relevant to society. In other words, how the research or issue affects the concerned citizens and why the consensus, strategy or practice matters.
