TRANSMISSION OF HIV: DIFFICULTY IN PRENATAL TO MEMBERSHIP

Objective: To investigate the scientific production difficulties of HIV positive women in joining the prenatal care. Methodology: This is a literature of descriptive and exploratory character. The electronic search of articles met the inclusion criteria was carried out by consulting the databases Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS) and the Nursing Database (BDENF) and PUBMED in the period 2005- 2014. Results and discussion: 8 publications were selected, showing that in the literature over the past decade are lacking in scientific output in the setting of primary care, geared to the difficulties of HIV positive women to adhere prenatal. The analysis reveals that several factors, acceptance of pregnancy, late discovery of pregnancy, difficulty in access to health and discontinuity in the prenatal services the adherence of these women, directly interfering in the process of prevention of vertical transmission of HIV. Final Thoughts: It is evidenced in the literature over the past decade deficiency in scientific production in the setting of primary care. Thus, it is expected that this research will contribute to improve the quality of prenatal care in Brazil, in order to capture and early detection of HIV positive pregnant women, intervening in full.Downloads
