THE OFFICE NURSING FACING THE EARLY DETECTION OF CERVICAL LESIONS

Introduction: The cancer of the cervix is defined as the replication disorderly epithelium of the lining of the uterus. This disease if not treated and diagnosed early it is responsible for millions of deaths every year in Brazil. Objective: To Show the importance of the nursing consultation in the practice of the preventive exam and health education of women. Method: Literature Review, held from searches in the databases Lilacs, Medline, Scielo, in addition to the manuals of the Ministry of Health - MS and the National Cancer Institute – INCA; which has been identified 12 articles appropriate for the present article. Results and Discussion: There were prepared three thematic categories: In the Context of the cervical cancer; The HPV as the primary risk factor; and Educational practices of nursing to the prevention of cervical cancer. Conclusion: Nurses should use communication tools effective to establish the focus on integral assistance to the woman, at the time of consultation gynecological, constituting a means of health promotion and prevention of lesions in the cervix of the uterus through the realization of the preventive exam and for the activities of health education.Downloads
