Abstract

Objective: To identify the most commonly used drugs by pregnant women.
Method: A cross-sectional observational, descriptive and exploratory study, performed with 30 pregnant women in August and September 2017. Results: During the gestational period: 60% of the women consume alcohol, 30% used cigarettes, 6.7% used alcohol and cigarettes, and 3.3% of pregnant women used concomitant alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, cocaine and crack cocaine. Conclusion: Alcohol was the chemical used by pregnant women, perhaps because of the low cost of licit drugs and because it was socially accepted.
