OBJECTIVE: to reflect on the working conditions of the nursing team as a subsidy to reduce the working day to 30 hours a week. METHODS: this is a theoretical-reflective, descriptive, narrative analysis, based on seven articles published in BIREME and SciELO databases on the working conditions of the Nursing team in Brazil. REFLECTION: working conditions compromise workers' health. Excessive workload and work hours, physical wear and tear, problems in the organization of work, high degree of responsibilities and charges cause work stress that reflects on the quality of care, dissatisfaction with the profession and interest in abandoning it. CONCLUSION: the scientific evidence alludes to the 30 hours of weekly work, in order to guarantee a better quality of life for the nursing team and, consequently, to improve the quality of care to the users of health services.Downloads
