HUMANIZATION OF CHILDBIRTH: THE ROLE OF NURSES

This study deals with an literature review research with the objective of finding in national literature, which the role of nurses in the humanization of childbirth. After searching the database of Capes, 33 articles were selected based on the inclusion criterion that were later analyzed and categorized. Results: We observed the rise of midwifery by encouraging public policies and these consolidate the process of humanizing. Conclusion: Despite the difficulties encountered daily in the profession, nursing has been gradually winning its way into midwifery, establishing through its evolution qualified assistance based on humanization.Downloads
