WELDING WORKERS’ PERCEPTIONS ON EXPOSURE TO ACCIDENT HAZARD IN THE WORK ENVIROMENT

This study aimed to identify the perceptions of workers welding in relation to exposure to the risks of accidents at work and prevention measures. Thus, a qualitative study, based on taped interviews with semi-structured, with nine (9) employees who work directly exposed to welding was performed. The study revealed that workers hold little knowledge about the risks they are exposed beyond the individual protection · Revista Enfermagem Contemporânea. 2015 Jan./Jun.;4(1):49-56 · 50 is inadequate. This fact requires, the company increased attention with regard tosupervision regarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) and programs aimed at improving the knowledge on occupational safetyDownloads
