An integrative literature review of was performed on the LILACS database, resulting in 34 articles for analysis. We aimed to characterize and synthesize the scientific production of Brazilian nurses on palliative care, published between 2010 and 2014 in LILACS database. The results show that the largest quantity of articles was published in the year 2012; journal with more publications was “Ciência, Cuidado e Saúde”; the Southeast region showed the highest number of publications; the most frequent approach was qualitative; most authors have a doctoral degree; there was a predominance of articles developed by four authors or more.
