The nurse in the assistance to prenatal the primigravida: the reality of a strategy of family health

Abstract

OBJECTIVES: to identify the nurse's role in the prenatal care of the Family Health Strategy and to analyze the perceptions of the primigravida in relation to prenatal care. METHOD: The research is qualitative and quantitative, of the descriptive exploratory type, having as subjects seven primigravida and seven nurses of the Family Health Strategy. RESULTS: The number of consultations ranged from one to five. Among the actions performed by the nurses are the request for examinations, registration in Sisprenatal, general guidelines and monitoring of blood pressure, uterine height, waist circumference and Body mass index. The primigravida considered the relevant Nursing care. CONCLUSION: The creation of bond between both allows the exchange of information, minimizing the chance of unfavorable results and contributing to the protection of the health of the mother and the baby.
