PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL): A STRATEGY FOR TRAINING THE PSYCHOLOGIST AS A HEALTH PROFESSIONAL

Abstract

There are about 49.412 of Psychologists acting on SUS, that challenges the education to move from its traditional positioning, that privileges clinics to create promoters of health. Part of a thesis that comprehend Psychology as health profession, this study describes Internship and pedagogic assisted practice , which the teacher is classified as a mediator, providing the perception of the students about the Internship experience. That descriptive study based on qualitative approach analyses the content of 51 questionnaires of students enrolled between the 8^th and 10^th semester of a Psychology course in Bahia, Brazil. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee (CAAE: 03670812.7.0000.5544). The data was analyzed by Sense Interpretation Method. The results indicate 100% of satisfaction facing the experience and development of competences as interdisciplinary attitude, capacity to work with teams, communication, autonomy and maturity. All of the above reveals the learning that integrates attitude, concept and techniques, answering the demands of the DCN’s and SUS.
